After one pulmonologist suggested I'd need a lung transplant before I'm 50, I promptly called around to get a second opinion to calm myself down as I was freaking out. He put me on symbicort once a day, which is what I've been taking for the past week and the actual reason I made this post.Another problem is that I'm in college now a few hours away from home. I was prescribed the generic version of Symbicort last week - duoResp. Has anybody tried this method or aware of anyone who has?I was on Clenil and Ventolin inhalers but my asthma, over a year just got worse.
When I first started taking Symbicort, it took a few weeks for the reflux to get bad, but now I get symptoms from just one dose. I was taking allergy shots, and they might have been helping, but due to my health insurance getting cut I have not been able to continue my shots (which I will continue once I get coverage again, though I'll likely have to start from zero again). This shortness had never been a symptom of mine. Why is a drug that needs to be used with a second drug (like the LABAs Symbicort, Dulera, Advair Diskus) and that may make asthma worse, a bestseller? Background: Asthma is a chronic disease of the airways in the lungs. If these are possible side effects, why do they prescribe Symbicort for Asthma symptoms? Side effects requiring immediate medical attention. O 03. We will see what symbicort does....Hi there, how did the change to Symbicort go. I started taking it a couple of days ago and I notice that I seem to be using my rescue inhaler more.

My Asthma nurse is starting to get annoyed that I request a meds change so often. I saw him again a week later and the lung function test confirmed that I do have asthma. She did tests and prescribed me Symbicort. He came off symbicort without me knowing the week before, then confessedand, said he had felt for ages he didn't actually have asthma. I went back to the doctors 2 weeks ago and was given prednisalone 40mg a day for eight days and told to stick with Symbicort for another month. So try it out.I'm not sure one should feel more congested immediately after inhalation of Symbicort, but once I breathe in and gargle the mouthwash I do feel much better, so it's a rather minor issue and just my experience. While I don't recommend this, occasionally if I'm not doing so bad when I get up or go to bed, I'll just do the mouthwash thing without the medication in order to try to prolong needing to get Rx refills (I pay out of pocket, so it's $300 for a 120-puff Symbicort). I'm also kind of a nervous person so surely anxiety is contributing to all these things.I apologize for the great wall of text. Just see what the GP says on Monday. While I do it very rarely, it occasionally suffices, however I wouldn't dare say it means I found a better solution than the medication I take.

I've been reading about Salt pipes as complimentary to medications or replacing (if one believes the commentary) .

Plus, Symbicort was ridiculously expensive! It did the same to me. The site may not work properly if you don't If you do not update your browser, we suggest you visit Press J to jump to the feed.
